By using the Wed-Start website and online services, you consent to the terms and conditions described below which form a legally binding agreement:

Definitions

Wed-Start Ltd: The company providing virtual wedding planning services. Also referred to in this document as ‘Wed-Start’, ‘us’ or ‘we’. Wed-Start is a Limited Company, registered in England & Wales under company number 13341539.

Consultant: The individual professional wedding planner who provides the Virtual Consultation. Consultants are freelance wedding planners with a minimum of 5 years’ experience planning weddings end-to-end on the behalf of their own clients.

Client: The person or couple engaging Wed-Start’s services. Also referred to in this document as ‘the couple’ or ‘you’.

Services: Wedding planning advice, either tailored to the client via virtual consultation or purchased by the client ‘off the shelf’.

Virtual consultation: A 60 minute meeting taking place via Zoom (or equivalent online conferencing service).

Tailored planning guidance, marketed as ‘Your Wed-Start’: Wedding planning guidance relating specifically to the Client’s plans as discussed in the Virtual Consultation.

Off-the-shelf guidance marketed as ‘Planning Guides’: Generic wedding planning guide PDFs which can be purchased directly from the Wed-Start website.

Your Wed-Start: booking process, prices and payments, specific terms

Your Wed-Start consists of a 60 minute virtual consultation between the consultant and the couple to discuss their ideal wedding.

Within 72 hours of the virtual consultation, the couple will receive planning documents (including a recommended budget breakdown and a recommended planning schedule) with advice relating specifically to the couple’s plans as well as ‘The Ultimate Guide’ PDF.

The cost for this service is £250.00 inclusive of VAT

Virtual consultations can be booked via an online booking system via www.wed-start.co.uk. Consultations:

  • are subject to availability but are typically available between 10:00 and 20:00 (the latest appointment to finish by 21:00), Tuesday to Saturday.

  • can only be booked up to three months ahead, and a minimum of 36 hours notice is required.

  • are typically 60 minutes long. The consultant reserves the right to end the virtual consultation should it run longer than 75 minutes.

Payment for your chosen service must be made at the time of booking via Stripe e-commerce at which time you will receive an email confirmation of the virtual consultation as well as an invitation to it via Zoom. You will also receive email reminders of your consultation.

Should you be unable to meet using Zoom, please get in touch with us via hello@wed-start.co.uk and we will make every effort to accommodate an alternative virtual conferencing system.

You can cancel your virtual consultation up to 72 hours ahead of your booking for a full refund (made within 7 working days subject to Stripe eCommerce’s terms).

Cancellations made within 72 hours will result in a penalty of half of the price paid. The balance will be refunded to you within 7 working days (subject to Stripe eCommerce’s terms).

Typically, no refund will be offered in the case of failure to attend your virtual consultation. We may however, at our discretion, waive this term where you have been unable to cancel your virtual consultation owing to genuine reasons which were outside of your control.

Should you need to reschedule your virtual consultation, we will make every effort to accommodate you, but this is ultimately at our discretion.

Once the virtual consultation has taken place, refunds will only be offered at our discretion following a formal complaint

In order to ensure you get the very best wedding planning advice, we ask that you:

  • ensure in advance that you have access to, and ideally have tested, the agreed virtual conferencing software

  • log-in to your virtual consultation on time

  • both attend the virtual consultation in full

  • provide full and accurate information throughout the virtual consultation

  • treat your consultant with courtesy, without which the consultant has the right to terminate the virtual consultation without refund.

Planning Guides: Prices, purchasing, specific terms

‘Off the shelf’ wedding guidance via downloadable PDFs is sold via www.wed-start.co.uk, with costs (including VAT) as follows:

  • Getting Started at £0.00

  • Maids & Men at £0.00

  • The Ultimate Guide at £175.00

  • Designing the Day at £125.00

  • Final Few Weeks at £125.00

The client selects their chosen guide, adds it to their shopping basket and makes payment via Stripe e-commerce. Their chosen guide will be immediately available for download.

Owing to the immediate nature of the service, cancellations are not applicable and refunds will only be offered at our discretion following a formal complaint.

General service terms

Our services are limited to wedding planning advice. We do not undertake wedding planning for the couple (such as researching venues, sourcing suppliers or undertaking logistical planning).

We do not typically recommend specific suppliers to the client but will do so at the consultant’s discretion should they feel they have particular personal experience with a supplier who suits the client’s needs in terms of location and budget.

Additional services (such as further virtual consultations) can be arranged at the client’s request, subject to our availability at a rate to be agreed.

Our services and their prices are subject to change but changes will not affect orders already placed.

Vouchers and discount codes

Gift vouchers for ‘Your Wed-Start’ can be purchased via hello@wed-start.co.uk and are valid for 6 months.

We may from time to time create and offer promotional codes that can be redeemed against purchases. Codes will only be valid for the period of time stated on or with them. Valid discount codes can be entered during the online check-out process.

Neither gift vouchers or discount codes have any cash value.

Complaints process

We hope that you will find our services truly helpful in planning your wedding, but should you not be completely happy, please get in touch, detailing your experience and the reasons for your dissatisfaction via hello@wed-start.co.uk and we will aim to respond within 5 working days.

Intellectual property and prohibited use

Wed-Start, its logo, brand and all other materials relating to its marketing and services belong to us with all rights reserved.

Clients are prohibited from sharing our Planning Guides or any information received as part of ‘Your Wed-Start’ with anyone else, or to use the information for any purpose other than planning their own wedding.

Data protection and your information

In compliance with UK GDPR, Wed-Start will hold only the minimum amount of personal data necessary for the chosen service and for accounting/legal purposes. Please refer to our Privacy & Cookies policy for more information.

You may be asked whether we can get back in touch with you after your wedding to seek feedback on the accuracy and helpfulness of our services, or for a testimonial for marketing purposes. You are under no obligation to agree to this and we will not do so without your explicit permission.

Limitation of liability

This clause sets out the entire financial liability of Wed-Start to the client in respect of:

  • any breach of this agreement;

  • any use made by the Client of the Services; and 

  • any representation, statement or tortious act or omission (including negligence) arising under or in connection with this agreement.

All warranties, conditions and other terms implied by statute or common law are, to the fullest extent permitted by law, excluded from this agreement.

Nothing in this clause limits or excludes the liability of Wed-Start for any damage or liability incurred by the client as a result of fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation by Wed-Start or their consultants.

We offer our services in good faith, offering the best advice possible given our experience in the wedding industry. However, we make no warranty or guarantee that our services are completely error-free and we make no guarantee of particular results or outcomes as regards your wedding day based on our services.

We are not liable or responsible for any errors in or failure to provide the services due to your error or failure to provide accurate and complete information.

We are not be liable for:

  • loss of anticipated savings; or

  • loss of goods; or

  • loss of contract; or

  • loss of use; or

  • loss or corruption of data or information; or

  • any special, indirect, consequential or pure economic loss, costs, damages, charges or expenses.

Our total liability in contract, tort (including negligence or breach of statutory duty), misrepresentation, restitution or otherwise arising in connection with the performance or contemplated performance of this agreement shall be limited to the price paid for our services.

General

If any provision of Our Terms is deemed or becomes invalid, the validity of the other provisions shall not be affected.

This agreement and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with it or its subject matter, shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the law of England and Wales.
